Early Life

Kenny started his Counter-Strike career in France. Kenny has been playing Counter-Strike since the age of 6, the game was introduced to him by his brother would play on his brother’s computer.

Kenny had enjoyment of Counter-Strike which he used as a form of escape. He started in Counter-Strike: Source and eventually transitioned to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in 2012. His skill and recognition led him to be invited to tournaments in Arles.

He initially did not win many matches, but his parents eventually understood his potential in esports. He and his brothers have a 10-year difference, but by the age of 8, Kenny was already better than his brothers.

At age 11, they decided to enter a local tournament which they won. After their victory, his brother pushed him to pursue his dream of becoming a professional player. During the tournaments Kenny showcased his talents to national and international audiences, eventually resulting in signing to VeryGames and placing 2nd at ESWC 2012. Kenny was later removed from the team citing a lack of experience.

In 2015

Titan placed 13-16th at ESL One Katowice 2015 in March. On July 20, 2015 kennyS and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire were traded to Team EnVyUs in exchange for Richard “shox” Papillon and Edouard “SmithZz” Dubourdeaux.

The next month in August, EnVyUs got second place in the second Major, ESL One Cologne 2015. At the third and final Major of 2015, DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015, kennyS and EnVyUs won the tournament after beating Natus Vincere in the finals.

He also did very well in ESL One Cologne 2016, although EnVyUs finished 13th – 16th. At the 2015 Game Award, kennyS had the Player of the Year award.

In 2016

EnVyUs (eSports) Placed 1st in Global eSports Cup-Season 1, initiating the year 2016 magnificently, with a prize of $80,000. Later in the year, they had placed 5-8th in the ELEAGUE Season 1 winning a prize that totaled $1,000,000 considering the minor placing. In September EnvyUS attended GFINITY CS: GO INVITATIONAL, winning the tournament after defeating Mousesports in the final.

In 2017

Kenny attended ELEAGUE Major: Atlanta in January with EnVyUs where they placed 9th-12th place. On February 3, 2017, KennyS was revealed to be on a new roster under G2 eSports along with Nathan “NBK” Schmitt, Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, Richard “Shox” Papillion, and Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro. Edouard “SmithZz” Dubourdeaux was revealed to be their new coach. G2 eSports attended EPICENTER 2017 in October where they placed 3rd-4th after losing to Virtus.Pro in the semifinals.

G2 won ESL Pro League Finals Season 5 and Dreamhack Masters Malmö 2017. kennyS received the MVP title in both events.

In 2018

G2 eSports attended ELEAGUE Boston Major in January where they placed 5th-8th after being defeated by Cloud9 during the quarterfinals.

Career

Kenny “kennyS” Schrub is a French CS: GO player, formerly a Counter-Strike: Source player, currently the AWPer for Team EnVyUs. He is considered to be one of the quickest and most skilled AWPers in the world.

kennyS has been playing Counter-Strike since he was 6 years old because his brother, Cyril Michel, was playing it frequently. When he was 11 years old, he and his brother participated in a local tournament which they proceeded to win. From then on, his brother pushed him to pursue his dream of being a pro-gamer, but he did so in Counter-Strike: Source, not the more popular CS 1.6.

on April 25, 2012, kennyS joined Team VeryGames. He stayed with them for a few months where he transitioned to CS: GO but was eventually kicked off the team due to his inexperience. He later joined Team-LDLC.com on May 11, 2013, as a replacement for Atlantis, staying there until August 20 when LDLC.com released their French squad.

On April 28, 2014, kennyS replaces Shox on Titan eSports. He stayed with them for over a year until he joined EnVyUs on July 20, 2015, as part of a player swap between Titan and EnVyUs.
