The standards behind every page: where numbers come from, how we check them, how we label them, and what happens when we get one wrong.

Sources we use
Every number on the site comes from a named source. Our primary sources are:
- Valve Regional Standings: Valve’s published team rankings (VRS) and the method behind them.
- Counter-Strike 2 (Valve): Game updates, the Active Duty map pool and weapon data.
Player settings and gear come from tournament configs, the player's own posts and their streams. We do not copy other settings tables. Player and team profiles list their sources at the end of the biography.
How we verify
- Collected. A value enters the archive only with a source attached.
- Dated. Each value carries the date it was last checked. Gear a pro stops using moves to their history instead of being deleted.
- Labelled. Stats name their window (last 3 months, last 12 months, all time) and the rating version they use. Rankings say whether they are world, Valve global or Valve regional.
- Reviewed. Biographies and guides are checked against the sources by a second person before they go live.
When two sources disagree we do not pick one silently. We publish the value we can confirm and leave the other out until it is settled. If we cannot confirm a value at all, we leave it blank rather than guess.
How we write
Pages lead with the plain answer: who the player is, which team, which role, which settings. We avoid hype, paraphrase quotes instead of copying them, and do not publish numbers computed from other numbers as if they were measured.
Corrections
If something is wrong, email cs@gamerstats.net with the page link and a source. We check every report. Confirmed errors are fixed and the page's "last updated" date changes with the fix.
Independence and affiliate links
Some gear links earn us a commission. Those links never decide what we list: a pro's gear is recorded because they use it, whether or not a store pays us. Brands cannot buy a place in a ranking, a "most used" count or a player profile. We do not accept payment for coverage.
