The headtr1ck file

headtr1ck — Daniil Valitov

A documentary biography of the Ukrainian AWPer whose path from NAVI academy through NIP and B8 led to Inner Circle, built from HLTV profile data, HLTV news records, event results and verified interviews.

Daniil Valitov is recorded on HLTV as Daniil "headtr1ck" Valitov, a 22-year-old Ukrainian player under contract to Inner Circle, with $141,312 in career prize money and no Major titles or Top 20 placements. The profile lists five team affiliations, beginning with NAVI Youth from April 2020 to February 2021 and continuing through NAVI Junior. That academy sequence places his formation inside Natus Vincere's developmental system during the online era, when the WePlay Academy League provided the primary competitive stage for junior rosters.

The news items from the academy years document the structure. The July 2021 froz1k academy arrival, the December 2021 unveiling of the NAVI Junior roster, the January 2022 WePlay Academy League Season 3 group conclusion, and the October–November 2022 Academy League group and playoff items all belong to the environment in which Valitov developed. The December 2021 item on m0NESY, Aunkere and fear being transfer-listed from NAVI Junior shows the academy's function as a sorting mechanism: prospects cycled through, with the most productive promoted or sold and the remainder released.

The August 2022 items record the pivotal assessment. On 19 August, HLTV reported that headtr1ck would step in for s1mple at BLAST Premier Fall Groups — a direct substitution for the world's leading AWPer in a tier-one group stage. On 20 August, Complexity upset NAVI in Copenhagen, and on 21 August B1ad3 stated, "I think headtr1ck is not ready to play versus tier one comfortably enough." The three items in three days capture the academy-to-tier-one gap precisely: emergency promotion to the main roster, immediate exposure against established opposition, and a coaching assessment that the player required further development. The December 2021 Junior unveiling confirmed the academy pathway structure. The September 2022 transfer-listing — "NAVI place headtr1ck on transfer list" on 2 September — followed within two weeks.

"I think headtr1ck is not ready to play versus tier one comfortably enough."

The FACEIT record shows the individual volume behind the academy years: 6,002 recorded matches, a 62.0% win rate, a 1.46 average KDR and a 47.0% headshot percentage, with a longest winning streak of 19. Those numbers — particularly the 1.46 KDR across six thousand matches — indicate ladder dominance at the developmental level. The FPL Challenger placements from Seasons 52–61, with positions between #53 and #158, and the FPL Europe items showing 100% win samples in Seasons 68–69, corroborate high-volume public-matchmaking output concurrent with academy play.

2. The s1mple stand-in and the tier-one threshold

The August 2022 stand-in for s1mple deserves extended treatment because it is the earliest tier-one sample in the record. NAVI's decision to use an 18-year-old academy AWPer as the direct replacement for Oleksandr Kostyliev in a BLAST Premier group — rather than a veteran stand-in — indicates the organisation's assessment of Valitov's readiness relative to other options. The results, including the Complexity upset on 20 August and the NAVI demolition of Complexity in the consolidation final reported the same day, show a mixed group stage: competitive maps without group victory.

B1ad3's assessment on 21 August — that Valitov was not ready to play versus tier one comfortably enough — is the most consequential coaching quotation in the early career. It does not dispute mechanics; it addresses comfort, the capacity to execute academy-developed play under tier-one pressure, communication speed and anti-stratting. The transfer-listing twelve days later implemented that assessment organisationally. The December 2022 report "NIP set sights on headtr1ck" shows that tier-one interest persisted despite the verdict, with another organisation prepared to attempt the development step NAVI declined.

The attribute profile recorded in 2026 helps interpret the 2022 gap retrospectively. Sniping 86 confirms primary AWP function. Trading 74 and Clutching 80 show substantial second-man and late-round capacity — the areas that typically mature last for young AWPers. Firepower 76 and Opening 48 indicate solid duel output without elite opening volume. The 2022 assessment that comfort was lacking aligns with a profile whose support skills (trading, clutching) would require two more years to reach their recorded levels.

The stand-in episode also establishes the s1mple succession context that would recur throughout the career. Every subsequent move — the NIP signing as a young AWPer, the B8 tenure as the scope-carrier, the Inner Circle arrival as the established AWPer — occurred in organisations measuring their AWP position against NAVI's standard. The August 2022 group stage was the first direct comparison.

3. Ninjas in Pyjamas: January 2023 to early 2024

The NIP tenure is documented across January 2023 to the 2024 rebuild and represents the first full tier-one contract. The signing was reported as "Official: headtr1ck joins NIP" on 9 January 2023, following the December 2022 report. The January 2023 items establish the surrounding expectations: the BLAST Spring Groups viewer's guide, Aleksib's hope for roster stability, the COO calc's claim that "With this, I believe we can contend for Majors," and Valitov's own statement "I want to get experience in big stadium matches" on 21 January.

The competitive record for NIP in early 2023 shows the difficulty of that ambition. The BLAST Spring Groups NAVI loss on 21 January, the IEM Katowice elimination by Outsiders on 6 February and the Vitality group loss on 4 February, the Grayhound relegation to the last-chance bracket in March, the EPL Group C opener past paiN on 8 March, and the RMR sequences in April (day-two coverage on 12 April, day-four and LCQ on 15 April) trace a team contesting qualification without securing deep runs. The IEM Rio group coverage on 18–20 April and the 21 January npl kid-dream quotation belong to the same campaign.

The Paris Major in May 2023 provides the verifiable peak. The achievements section lists Legends with NIP at BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, and the news items document the path: the 11 May k0nfig combination sending NIP to the Legends Stage, the day-three biggest-stories item, the 14 May FURIA flawless-CT-side result and the 2–0 pool progression, the 15 May ENCE collapse and 1–0 series lead with headtr1ck and k0nfig powering the early advantage, and the 17 May Apeks decider — "Apeks head to Major playoffs over NIP after incredible comeback," with the headtr1ck clutch for map point and the 3k that kept NIP in control documented live. The Legends Stage exit to Apeks in the 2–2 decider, after holding map point, is the specific elimination. A Legends finish at the final CS:GO Major, at 19, represents the best Major result of the career to date.

The post-Paris months show decline. The Dallas ESL distributions, the June–July IEM Cologne play-in and group items (the Imperial nail-biter on 29 July with the 1-HP clutch for match point and djL's "clutch king" praise, followed by the FaZe lower-bracket loss on 30 July and the Astralis group exit on 31 July), the August–September EPL Group A GamerLegion elimination, and the October–November roster items (Brollan benched, hampus benched with es3tag returning, alex joining) trace a team breaking up. The January–February 2024 items — the RMR disaster sources, the Young Ninjas stand-ins, the Xizt coaching unveiling, the maxster promotion and the r1nkle confirmation on 2 April — record the rebuild that ended the tenure. The April 2024 item "headtr1ck set on B8 move" on 6 April marks the exit.

4. B8: April 2024 to early 2026 and the RMR cycles

The B8 tenure from 2024 into early 2026 is the longest post-academy affiliation and the period of greatest qualifier volume. The May 2024 items record the immediate impact: "B8 claim first title with headtr1ck in CCT Series 2" and the Elisa Invitational win over Sashi in the same week, followed by the late-May BetBoom victory headlined through his performance. The June YaLLa Compass EVPs and Best Five listing and the July editorial on CS2 transfers provide the individual measure: ranked among the event's best performers.

The late-2024 RMR campaign repeats the B8 curse pattern documented for cptkurtka023. The October Espoo items — the JANO last-place consignment of NIP and the MongolZ playoff advancement on 17 October, with Valitov's "feeling way more confident here, and that each teammate and coach respects me" interview the same day — show the confidence assessment mid-cycle. The November items — the RMR curse preview on 21 November and the Astralis 2–1 comeback elimination on 22 November — record the specific failure. The December cptkurtka023 replacement with kensizor belongs to the same window.

The 2025 Major cycles show partial progress. The April 2025 Austin RMR qualification — "B8 qualify for Austin, consign Astralis to fifth consecutive Major absence" on 17 April — reversed the previous year's elimination by the same opponent. The June Austin Stage 1–2 sequence (the Wildcard reverse-sweep on 5 June, the Falcons upset on 7 June, the FURIA Stage 3 elimination on 10 June) ended in Stage 2, recorded in the achievements as Stage 2 at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 2. The Budapest cycle in late 2025 went further: the October alex666 IGL interview, the November "feeling more fluent and free" and "next level is playoffs of a big event" interviews, the Stage 1 visualisation, the Liquid 0–1 opener on 29 November, and the Stage 3 listing in the achievements for StarLadder Budapest Major 2025. Stage 3 at Budapest is the joint-best Major result alongside Paris Legends.

The January 2026 exit is documented in three items: the 4 January transfer-listing amid AWPer tryouts, the 17 January segukawa replacement announcement, and the 11 March free-agency entry. The 14 March Inner Circle signing followed within three days. The B8 tenure therefore produced CCT titles, two Major qualifications with Stage 2 and Stage 3 finishes, and sustained starting AWP placement across two years — the substantive record that made the Inner Circle signing possible.

5. Inner Circle: March 2026 to present and the completed five

The Inner Circle tenure from March 2026 to present began with the 14 March signing headlined as "Inner Circle sign headtr1ck," following the 8 March Flierax benching. The April interview — "Sometimes we speak about something but we don't commit to it" on 8 April — gives the earliest account of the new five's communication, a candid assessment of commitment gaps that aligns with a roster assembled across three different months. The June Super DraculaN title on 29 June ("Inner Circle win Super DraculaN over Acend") is the first trophy-adjacent result of the tenure.

The Porto cycle and September qualifiers, shared across the roster, are documented in the recent-matches list: the 30 August 0–2 FUT elimination (9–12th), the September Bucharest 5–6th (Nemiga 0–2, NIP 2–1, B8 0–2), and the September Logitech 3–4th (BBL, Liquid, 3DMAX and INFINITE wins; EYEBALLERS and 3DMAX losses). The 18 September 13–6 Liquid win and the 10 September 2–1 NIP win are the standout fixtures. The three-month rating of 1.13 is the highest on the roster, marginally above the two entries at 1.12.

The sticker record corroborates the Major qualifications: sixteen stickers across Paris 2023 (glitter, paper, holo, gold), Austin 2025 (paper, foil, holo, gold) and Budapest 2025 (embroidered, paper, holo, gold in duplicate inventory). The prize-money total of $141,312, the highest among Inner Circle starters, reflects the NIP salaries and B8–Inner Circle qualification earnings across four competitive years.

The role within the completed five is structurally clear: the only primary AWPer (Sniping 86) alongside two designated entries (both 81), a trading rifler (zeRRoFIX 82 Trading) and a support anchor (onic 71 Utility). The roster was assembled to place scope structure around teenage entry output, and the March signing was the final piece.

6. The Major record: Paris, Austin and Budapest in sequence

The achievements list three Major entries in chronological order: Legends with NIP at Paris 2023, Stage 2 with B8 at Austin 2025 Stage 2, and Stage 3 with B8 at Budapest 2025. The sequence shows progression across three years: Legends at 19, Stage 2 at 21, Stage 3 at 21–22. No quarter-finals, semi-finals, titles or MVPs are recorded, and no EVP awards attach to the Majors.

The Paris elimination (Apeks comeback from map-point down in the 2–2 decider) and the Austin elimination (FURIA progression to Stage 3) and the Budapest Stage 3 exit follow the same structure: qualification secured, advancement through early stages, elimination before the playoffs. The November 2025 "next level is playoffs of a big event" quotation states the outstanding objective directly. The April 2026 commitment-gap interview and the September 2026 qualifier exits (Bucharest 5–6th, Logitech 3–4th) show the same threshold in the Inner Circle period: group-stage wins without playoff conversion.

The Major record must be read with the RMR failures that precede each qualification. The 2024 Shanghai RMR curse elimination, the 2022–2023 Rio and Paris RMR battles, and the 2025 Austin RMR Astralis reversal show that qualification itself was contested in each cycle. Three qualifications from five attempts across NIP and B8, followed by the Inner Circle Porto qualification outside the Major system, indicate a player whose teams consistently reach the final qualification hurdle.

7. AWP mechanics: trading, clutching and the support-scope hybrid

The attribute set — Firepower 76, Entrying 34, Trading 74, Opening 48, Clutching 80, Sniping 86, Utility 62 — describes a hybrid AWP profile rather than a pure scope-carry. Sniping 86 confirms primary AWP status. Clutching 80 is the standout secondary score and the highest clutching mark on the Inner Circle roster, pointing to late-round finishing in numerical disadvantages — the July 2023 1-HP Cologne play-in clutch and the May 2023 Paris map-point clutch are the headline instances. Trading 74 shows substantial second-man function, unusual for a primary AWPer and indicative of rifle-round participation alongside the scope.

The low scores define the boundaries. Entrying 34 confirms no designated-entry function — the entries belong to Dawy and cptkurtka023. Opening 48 shows moderate round-opening involvement, consistent with an AWPer who holds opening angles rather than seeking duels. Firepower 76 sits below Dawy's 86 but above the support players, reflecting solid conversion without entry-level volume. Utility 62 indicates competent grenade support, above the entries but below onic's 71.

The September 2024 headline "I'm sad that this happens over and over again" on close LAN losses, and the October 2024 confidence interview on teammate and coach respect, bracket the mechanical assessment with psychological context: an AWPer whose close-loss record frustrated him and whose B8 environment restored confidence. The 1.13 three-month rating across the Inner Circle sample, the highest on the team, shows the hybrid functioning — scope kills supplemented by trading and clutching rather than dependent on opening volume alone.

8. Earnings, standing and the playoff threshold

The aggregate can be stated without projection. At 22, Valitov has five team affiliations, $141,312 in prize money, three Major qualifications with a best of Stage 3/Legends, sixteen Major stickers, zero Top 20 placements and zero MVP or EVP awards. The three-month rating is 1.13. The best recent team results are the June Super DraculaN title and the September Logitech 3–4th. The longest tenure is the B8 spell at approximately two years; the NAVI academy sequence and NIP year precede it; the Inner Circle spell stands at seven months in the October 2026 record.

The comparative frame is the post-academy AWPer cohort. Few Ukrainian AWPers with 2020 academy origins have accumulated three Major qualifications by 22 while maintaining starting placement across NIP, B8 and Inner Circle. The B1ad3 2022 assessment — not ready for tier one comfortably — has been answered by the subsequent record without being fully reversed: the player has qualified for Majors and reached Stage 3 but has not yet reached a playoff, the threshold named in the November 2025 interview.

The outstanding item is singular and explicitly stated: qualification for the playoffs of a big event. Whether the current Inner Circle five, whose Porto, Bucharest and Logitech results show group-stage wins without playoff conversion, can provide that stage is not answerable from the data. What the record establishes is a complete arc from NAVI Youth through the s1mple stand-in, the Paris Legends run, two B8 Major cycles with CCT titles, to a seven-month Inner Circle tenure with the team's highest rating — an AWPer whose scope, trading and clutching have remained in demand at each level attempted.

The July 2023 Cologne play-in sequence illustrates the clutching attribute in its earliest headline form. The 1-HP clutch for match point against Imperial on 29 July, followed by djL's public praise as "clutch king" the same day, occurred during the NIP tenure's final competitive month — a roster already breaking up, with Brollan and hampus benchings and the alex arrival documented within weeks. That a 19-year-old AWPer produced the match-point conversion in a play-in decider under those organisational conditions explains why B8 pursued him nine months later despite the NIP rebuild. The May 2023 Paris map-point clutch against Apeks, in the Legends decider, belongs to the same pattern at higher stakes: scope finishing when elimination is one round away. The Clutching score of 80 recorded three years later grades that capacity as the defining secondary skill, above trading and well above opening.
