The d1Ledez file

d1Ledez — Daniil Kustov

A documentary biography of the Russian entry fragger who spent three years carrying 9 Pandas through qualification fields and now finishes the contact rounds of BETBOOM's Major project, built from HLTV profile data, HLTV news records and tournament reports.

1. Hard Legion to Singularity: The GuardiaN Cohort

Daniil Kustov plays under the name d1Ledez. He was 23 at the time of the profile record, Russian, and listed as a member of BETBOOM, with career prize money of $119,673 and a three-month Rating 3.0 of 1.07. The team history traces the lower rungs of the CIS scene through the pandemic era: Hard Legion from October 2020 to January 2021, SG.pro from January to July 2021, the short-lived bez-zp arrangement in August and September 2021, Singularity from September 2021 to April 2022 with its ex-Singularity continuation, 9 Pandas from late 2022 to April 2025, and BETBOOM since July 2025.

The Singularity signing is the entry that dates his development precisely, because of who it placed around him. In September 2021, the organisation announced a newly formed team mixing the experience of Denis "seized" Kostin and Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács — NAVI team-mates between 2012 and 2017, reunited for the project — alongside three Russian players aged 20 or under: Evgeny "Norwi" Ermolin, Timur "clax" Sabirov and Kustov, with Artem "Fierce" Ivanov coaching. The same core had already played the IronWar Grand Prix in August under the BEZ ZP tag, finishing 3-4th after a semi-final loss to AGO. seized's framing of the project in the announcement — "a completely new team, in which we tried to combine experienced and young blood hungry for victories" — described Kustov's position exactly: the teenager in the server with two veterans who had won Majors in different decades, learning the professional trade against a coach whose structural approach he would encounter again years later.

The apprenticeship numbers from the period are thin — tier-two European and CIS circuits, online — but the Singularity chapter matters for what it built. Kustov spent it as the youngest fragger in a veteran-led system, and the attribute profile he would carry into the top tier — Entrying 85, Trading 87, Opening 18 — is the statistical signature of that education: a player taught to be the first body through the door and the second man's insurance, with the lowest opening-duel score in his cohort marking him as someone who does not seek first contact away from the executes.

2. Three Years of 9 Pandas

The move to 9 Pandas in late 2022 was the first stable contract of his career, and it became the longest tenure of it: nearly three years, an average rating of 1.13 across the spell, and a role as one of the constants while the organisation cycled everyone else around him. The record of the period is one of perpetual near-qualification. At the Europe RMR for the PGL Major Copenhagen in February 2024, 9 Pandas moved to the 1-1 pool alongside BetBoom and AMKAL — the RMR group stages that decided Major berths, where 9 Pandas' qualification attempts repeatedly stalled. In June 2024 the roster was rebuilt around him with the additions of Nikolay "shalfey" Vornakov and Fierce, the Singularity coach turned player, and in August the organisation traded r3salt to Aurora for clax — the same team-mate from the GuardiaN cohort, reunited in a 9 Pandas jersey.

The 2024-2025 rebuild continued in November, when glowiing and iDISBALANCE were placed on the transfer list, and in January 2025, when Vladislav "Krad" Kravchenko and 19-year-old AWPer Alv were added to restore the roster to full strength. The moves followed the failure to qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major, where 9 Pandas fell to G2, Virtus.pro and Ninjas in Pyjamas in the Europe RMR — Krad's arrival carrying the weight of a player who "has been qualifying for Majors since 2019" and had attended one with each of DreamEaters, Entropiq, FORZE and AMKAL. None of it changed the outcome at the final hurdle.

The end came in April 2025. At the Europe MRQ for the BLAST.tv Austin Major, 9 Pandas finished 2-3 and missed the event, and the organisation moved the entire playing roster to the bench. HLTV's report preserved the institutional context: rumours of a possible closure after Aleksei "OverDrive" Birukov reported the loss of a critical sponsor, and CEO Julia Sotnikova's statement on Telegram and VK — "The bottom line is that we continue to work. Yes, it's a transition. Yes, it's not easy. But we know for a fact that there is something new ahead" — alongside the sporting verdict that mattered for the market: "Some of the players asked for the opportunity to restart and consider other offers. When there is no result, motivation decreases and team connectivity is destroyed." Kustov, the longest-serving fragment of the roster that had just been dissolved, was one of them. He had averaged 1.13 across the spell; the organisation around him had averaged a series of RMR exits.

3. The April Bench and the July Signing

The three months between the 9 Pandas benching and his next contract were spent out of action entirely — HLTV's report of the BETBOOM signing states it flatly: "d1Ledez has been out of action since April." The respite ended on 28 July 2025, when BETBOOM announced a double signing: Artem "ArtFr0st" Kharitonov on a permanent basis after a successful stand-in spell at FISSURE Playground 1, and Kustov from the 9 Pandas bench, replacing Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov — the fourth-best player of 2022, moved to the bench in the same announcement. The scale of the swap was the story: a 23-year-old tier-two constant taking the spot of a HLTV top-five player, in a roster captained by a Major winner.

The internal logic was explained a month later, when Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov gave HLTV the captain's account of the decision. "Honestly, it was a tough decision for me personally. After the player break and before FPG, we were talking about making two changes. The team needed a renewal, because the atmosphere was tough, I'd say we were unable to find common language in terms of out of team stuff as well," he said, adding that d1Ledez was not the only candidate: "We discussed the options with the team. I can't say it was just d1Ledez, there were three or four options. With the market it was also tough since you can't make a deal easily with any organization." On the choice itself, the description was affectionate and specific: "He's a simple guy who listens and follows. He shoots heads. I can't say how exactly he's different from Ax1le. Obviously, he's a less experienced player who's hungry for wins, because he hasn't had many LANs in his career, but most importantly the atmosphere had changed and people started to connect more easily. He's that positive guy, like me once in the beginning of my career, who creates the vibe and atmosphere within the team. He might be naïve at places, some things that he says might be silly, but that's what depressurizes the team in the tough moments, and I feel like it's better for our team."

"We discussed the options with the team. I can't say it was just d1Ledez, there were three or four options. With the market it was also tough since you can't make a deal easily with any organization."

4. Renewal: The d1Ledez Effect

The results validated the captain's diagnosis faster than the market expected. HLTV's September coverage noted that since the revamp, BETBOOM had been "on a tear, finishing first or second in a string of online events to aid their quest for Major qualification" — the VRS grind that decided European Major berths — and the team's Moscow LAN debut at Majestic LanDaLan opened with a 2-1 win over Betera. The event was Kustov's first LAN in a BETBOOM jersey, and Mikhailov's verdict on the transition, given to HLTV in the middle of the tournament, was measured and forward-looking: "I see the growth, and the atmosphere has become much better within the team. It's d1Ledez's first LAN event for us and so on, but he has already come in with the understanding that the team had issues and has got to improve. We're talking about this a lot. Overall, I can't say I'm unhappy, but I also think that we could be doing better, so we don't hold our heads too high and are trying to work to get better."

The tactical shape of the new five was visible in the same interview's earlier passages. Describing the Betera series, Mikhailov noted a 9-3 T-side on the decider and a 3v5 win among "some unreal rounds," and framed the roster's growth problem in team terms: rushing things on the attack, failing to comprehend information on the defence. Kustov's role in that structure was the one his attributes had always described — the execute tip, the trade insurance — now attached to a calling system built for Major qualification rather than RMR survival. The August Exort Proving Grounds title over BC.Game, won with the new core, was the first trophy of the rebuild, and the online sequence around it — first-or-second finishes across the CCT and regional circuit, the wins accumulating in the VRS ledger — gave the September LAN its stakes: a first arena test for a roster whose qualification arithmetic now ran through every series.

The Moscow event also supplied the first arena data of the Kustov era, and it matched the profile's predictions in both directions. The 2-1 Betera win required the kind of round the attribute page advertises — cheap entries converted, trades landed, a 9-3 offensive half built on the first contact — and the tournament's later defeats showed the same profile's dependency: when the executes were read, the Opening 18 meant BETBOOM's fallback was Magnojez's aggression rather than a second opening threat. Mikhailov's summary of the team's state, delivered with the tournament still live, refused both panic and triumph: "I don't want to assign it any super importance. I went here thinking we just gotta show our game, and that's it." The entry fragger's job description could hardly be summarised better.

"I don't want to assign it any super importance. I went here thinking we just gotta show our game, and that's it."

The individual statistical record of the signing window told the same story in profile terms. His three-month rating at the time of writing sits at 1.07, close to the 1.13 he sustained across three years at 9 Pandas — the signature of a player whose level is structural rather than situational, transferred intact into a better team. The FACEIT base beneath it — 4,279 matches at a 61.0% win rate, a 1.45 average KDR, a 59.0% headshot percentage and a longest winning streak of 25 — is the strongest first-contact mechanical foundation in the BETBOOM profile set, and the FPL record includes a 43rd-place finish in the CS:GO Challenger Europe circuit at a 1.626-point total across 18 matches in Season 66.

5. Bucharest and the VRS Grind

The autumn of 2025 was spent converting the online form into the ranking points that decided Major qualification, and the record of the period is a study in the VRS system's friction. At PGL Masters Bucharest in October, BETBOOM were eliminated by Gentle Mates in a three-map thriller that came down to the final round of regulation on Nuke — Ancient lost 13-7 to mopoz's 2.47-rated half, Mirage won after a 7-3 T-side lead held, and the decider lost at the wire. The elimination was narrow, the opposition was a playoff-calibre European roster, and the result banked no playoff points; the pattern of the autumn was set by such margins.

The grind's mechanics were described by the captain in the same September interview with unsentimental precision: "There's not always that time period when one could just sit and practice for a month, the VRS system is now built in a way that you have to be focused every day. Every match can decide your fate, like getting to a LAN, and attending LANs is some sort of a point of growth for a team, because even if FaZe played online [like we did], I don't think they would be having 100% winrate. Online always comes down to plenty of games and it's getting hard to prepare for every game separately, although we try to do that." Kustov's place in that machine was the cheapest to describe and the hardest to replace: the player whose rounds keep the rating arithmetic moving on the days the stars' peaks do not align.

6. The Visa Winter and the Return

The 2026 season's first months tested the rebuild in ways no opponent could. On 24 March, BETBOOM announced it would field FL4MUS and zorte as stand-ins at upcoming LANs due to visa issues, and for the next three LAN events the starting five kept changing shape: FL4MUS played in Kustov's place through the spring block, including the IEM Atlanta campaign in May, where BETBOOM upset Vitality 2-1 — Anubis won on an 8-4 CT side, Overpass conceded, and Nuke closed behind Magnojez's rotations and zorte's AWP — and secured a semi-final seed. The Vitality scalp was earned without Kustov on the server; the report of the match noted the roster being "in flux, swapping in Aleksandr 'zorte' Zagodyrenko and fielding Timur 'FL4MUS' Marev in place of Daniil 'd1Ledez' Kustov" as a caveat to the achievement.

The three-map runner-up finish at Stake Ranked Episode 1 — the title taken by G2 — was the third consecutive LAN with stand-ins, and the organisation's April statement laid out the machinery beneath it: ArtFr0st moved to the bench because "without a Schengen visa, he automatically lost the opportunity to participate in the Atlanta tournament," Kustov returned to the lineup while BETBOOM engaged in what it called "productive dialogue" with Virtus.pro to extend FL4MUS's loan, and zorte stayed for the season. The trophy at Roman Imperium Cup VII on 31 March — banked during the stand-in chaos — carried the ranking points that would seed the Cologne Major invite, and the captain's public measurement of it ("It's not the biggest tournament in my life, but it's still great emotions") gave the period its register.

Kustov's restoration to the starting roster on 9 April 2026 was therefore the last move of the saga and the first condition of the Major project's credibility. The Cologne roster submitted to ESL featured both FL4MUS and zorte with one substitution available; S1ren, the newly signed AWPer, missed the start of the event. For a player who had spent three years at 9 Pandas watching qualification attempts dissolve on administrative margins, the BETBOOM version of the same problem arrived with better resources and the same stakes — and his own role in it, benched for paperwork while the team won without him, was the one part of the season he could not influence from the server.

7. The Cologne Major Quarter-Final

The IEM Cologne Major in June 2026 delivered the deepest run of Kustov's career. Stage 1 opened with a crushing of GamerLegion; Stage 2 produced the tournament's biggest scalp to that point in The MongolZ; and Stage 3 assembled the sequence that carried BETBOOM into the playoff bracket: a 4-11 comeback on Nuke against Falcons completed on a dominant CT side, a loss to Vitality that changed nothing structurally, and a 3-1 record sealed against FUT as the Swedish organisation crumbled. The playoff berth was the project's stated goal, achieved with Kustov in the five and the stand-in circus resolved around him — and it made him a Major quarter-finalist at the first attempt of his career, at 23, in an event whose bracket featured Aurora's first-ever Major semi-final on the other side.

The quarter-final itself was lost 2-0 to Aurora, the Turkish squad's Nuke CT pressure and Wicadia's Deagle rounds proving the gap between a first playoff berth and a semi-final. The series record sits in Kustov's file as the current ceiling: a topped Stage 3 group-resume, a Falcons comeback survived, and a playoff bracket entered where the opposing captain's clutches were the only thing keeping the first half competitive. For the entry role specifically, the run documented the profile working at its designed tempo — early contacts on the T side of the wins, trade insurance behind Magnojez's aggression — and the scoreboard margin of the quarter-final, a 2-0 without overtime, marking the level above.

The season's remaining results bracket the run. The Esports World Cup in August ended 25th-32nd, with an 11-13 loss to FaZe — a single-map margin that the tournament's seeding turned into an early exit — followed by a 0-2 defeat to Ninjas in Pyjamas and xKacpersky's 2.34-rated elimination performance. XSE Pro League Guangzhou in July had ended 5th-8th after a 3-0 group stage that included a 13-4 dismantling of SINNERS and a 13-11 grind over BIG, with FaZe again the quarter-final opponent and again the winner. The pattern against the tier-one field was consistent: competitive margins, no conversions.

The autumn opened with the circuit's longest-running commitment. BETBOOM's next recorded fixture is the ESL Pro League Season 24 meeting with FURIA scheduled for 3 October 2026 — the league where the organisation's tier-one credentials have been tested every season since the rebuild, and the first stage of the cycle that will decide whether the Cologne quarter-final becomes a baseline or a peak. For Kustov, the fixture list continues the shape of the entire BETBOOM project: a roster built to qualify, a qualification record that now includes a Major playoff bracket, and the standing question of whether the entry pack's margins — 16-13 and 13-7 against G2 in Suzhou, 11-13 against FaZe in Riyadh — begin to fall the other way.

8. Entrying 85, Opening 18: The Trade-First Profile

The attribute scores of Kustov's profile describe a specialist the modern game builds entire systems around. Entrying 85 is the highest entry score in the BETBOOM set and among the highest in his cohort; Trading 87 sits beside it, nearly as extreme; Opening 18 is the lowest opening score in the same comparison by a distance. The composite is unambiguous: a player who does not seek first contact in the open round, takes the doorway when the call comes, and converts the follow-up at an elite rate. Utility 56 and Clutching 60 are the functional floor beneath the specialisation; Firepower 60 and Sniping 0 complete the rifle-only picture. In the vocabulary of role analysis, Kustov is the purest trade-entry hybrid in the BETBOOM system — Magnojez's 84 Entrying paired with an 86 Opening describes a space-taker, while Kustov's 85/87/18 describes a converter.

The September record at FISSURE Playground 3 documented the profile at its most effective. BETBOOM topped their group with 2-0 wins over BIG, Astralis and MIBR — the Astralis result, a 2-0 over the Copenhagen Major quarter-finalists, the standout — and pushed G2 to three maps in the semi-final, taking Mirage 13-7 before falling 16-13 and 13-7. HLTV's EVP review closed the file with the assessment that matters for his trajectory: "Kirill 'Magnojez' Rodnov and Daniil 'd1Ledez' Kustov did well for BETBOOM as they topped their group, but both needed more in the semi-final to convert that credit into a nod." The sentence is the entry fragger's career in miniature: the credit is earned in the rounds the team wins, and the nod requires the peaks to arrive in the matches that decide placement.

The aggregate record at the time of writing: $119,673 in career prize money, one Major appearance at the quarter-final stage, no trophies at a BETBOOM-counted level beyond the autumn online circuit, no EVP mentions, and a 1.07 three-month rating sustained across a season split by the visa saga. He is 23, with the 9 Pandas years now the longest entry on a team history that has carried him from GuardiaN's coaching projects to a Major playoff bracket, and the FACEIT ledger — 4,279 matches, 61% win rate, 1.45 KDR, 25-win streak — recording the mechanical base that made the conversion possible. The BETBOOM project's stated horizon, in the captain's own framing, is playoffs and experience now, "a worthy fight" by the end of the next season; the entry fragger's version of that timeline is simpler and harder — keep winning the doorways, and let the credit accumulate until the nods follow.
