The latto file

latto — Bruno Rebelatto

A documentary biography of the Brazilian rifler whose three MVP medals all came in China, built from HLTV profile data, HLTV news records and published interviews.

1. Brazilian Apprenticeship: Falkol, RED Canids and the Long Road North

Bruno Rebelatto's professional record begins in the Brazilian tier-two circuit of 2019, on teams that survive in memory mostly as entries in databases: Falkol in mid-2019, RED Canids from August 2019 to January 2021. These were the years when the Brazilian scene's great production line operated at full capacity, converting teenage talent into professionals through the pressure of constant competition, when domestic LANs in São Paulo and Rio served as the proving grounds. Rebelatto spent eighteen months with RED Canids, the longest developmental spell of his early career, learning the rifle fundamentals that still define him. The organization, one of Brazil's most established, provided structure without stardom: salaries, practice, domestic LANs, and the slow education of losing to better teams.

What distinguished him even then was output. Across his career's matchmaking record, 1,499 FACEIT matches at a 68 percent win rate with a 1.54 average KDR and a 53 percent headshot rate, he has been the most efficient winner of the Legacy trio. The win rate, the highest of the three, and the KDR, achieved across fewer matches than his teammates, describe a player whose teams win when he plays well and who plays well often. The twenty-one-match win streak in the record is the competitive signature: when Rebelatto finds form, it lasts for weeks. The headshot rate, the highest of the trio, marks the precision base beneath the consistency: first-bullet kills, clean crosshair placement, the mechanics of a player who rarely needs second chances.

In January 2021 he joined GODSENT, graduating to the international circuit alongside Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer. The eighteen months there, through June 2022, supplied his first Major appearance at Stockholm 2021, exiting in the Challengers stage, and his first sustained exposure to European competition. The Stockholm qualifier had tested the young roster's nerve, with elimination matches against experienced North American and European mixes, and Rebelatto's performances in those decisive series were the first to suggest a player for the biggest matches. He was seventeen at the Major debut. The GODSENT period built the partnership that defines his career: Rebelatto and Wolkmer, side by side since 2021, developing the non-verbal understanding that only years of shared servers produce. The crossfires held without discussion, the trades timed by instinct, the knowledge of each other's positions before they are taken: all of it dates to these months. They were teenagers learning to play professional Counter-Strike together, and the education stuck.

2. 00NATION Youth: Rio Home Major and Growing Up in Public

The move to 00NATION in June 2022 reunited Rebelatto with Wolkmer and Santino "try" Rigal in the teenage core that would later become Legacy. The spell, running to August 2023, centered on the IEM Rio Major 2022, a home World Championship played in front of the most demanding crowd in Counter-Strike. The team exited in the Challengers stage, but the experience marked all three permanently. Rebelatto would later describe the period with exactness: "When we played together, me, dumau, and try, we were kids. It's been about four years now, and try is a different guy. dumau is a different guy, and so am I." The sentence captures the essential fact. They were children competing against adults, and the losing taught them more than winning could have. The Rio crowd's intensity, the national expectation, the elimination matches played in audible chaos: Brazilian teenagers who survive that environment carry a permanent inoculation against pressure.

"When we played together, me, dumau, and try, we were kids. It's been about four years now, and try is a different guy. dumau is a different guy, and so am I."

The 00NATION year also built his reputation as the trio's most consistent performer. Where Wolkmer supplied volatility and try supplied peaks, Rebelatto supplied the floor: steady ratings, reliable late-round play, the professionalism that keeps young teams competitive through slumps. Coaches from the period noted his practice habits and his calm; teammates noted the absence of drama. The roster's dissolution in 2023 scattered the three, with try departing for other projects and the riflers seeking stability. Rebelatto's path, after a brief overlap with the Fake Natty mix in August 2023, led to Legacy in September. Wolkmer arrived by the same route. The axis was preserved. Everything else would be rebuilt around it.

3. Legacy Years: Copenhagen to Bucharest via Austin

The Legacy spell, from September 2023 to the present, is the context of everything Rebelatto has won. The 2024 season supplied steady construction: qualification for the Copenhagen Major, exiting in the Opening Stage's Challengers, and the slow building of a system around the Rebelatto-Wolkmer axis. The 2025 season supplied the transformation. Legacy won the CS Asia Championships 2025 in Shanghai, with Rebelatto earning the first of his three MVP medals, and reached the Austin Major's Stage 3 in the summer, the deepest Major run of his career to that point. The Austin campaign, which carried the Brazilians into the tournament's second week, ended against the event's established powers but confirmed the roster belonged at that level. The autumn added a runner-up finish at PGL Masters Bucharest, where Legacy reached the final before falling.

The CAC 2025 victory deserves emphasis as the tournament that created the China phenomenon. Rebelatto's MVP performance through the Shanghai playoffs announced him as a player for the biggest matches, with dominant displays in the semi-final and final that set the template for everything that followed. The crowd's adoption of the Brazilians supplied the emotional fuel, and the organization's first major international title supplied the institutional proof. His post-tournament comments were measured: pride in the team, credit to the system, no personal triumphalism. The pattern of his public speech was already set. Teammates produce the fireworks; he produces the numbers and deflects the attention.

The organization's investment through 2025 matched the results. Performance staff including BobZ, mental coaching that Rebelatto would later credit directly for the team's survival in high-pressure matches, and the steady tactical construction around the trio's strengths. The February 2026 signing of arT, following the benching of lux, added the veteran leadership the young core had always lacked: a caller with Major pedigree and a personality large enough to absorb pressure. His LAN rating through the year climbed into the 1.10s, and by December he had finished inside HLTV's Top 30, the formal marker of a player on the verge of the elite. The stated ambition for 2026 was explicit: a first Top 20 appearance.

4. Defending Shanghai: Back-to-Back CAC MVP

The CS Asia Championships 2026 in May produced the finest title defense of Rebelatto's career. Legacy reached back-to-back grand finals with a 2-0 win over MIBR in the semis, then faced Falcons, the Major-champions-in-waiting, in the decider. They won. The upset, the greatest of the season to that point, was secured with Rebelatto producing a second consecutive CAC MVP performance. Back-to-back titles, back-to-back MVP medals, both in Shanghai, both against elite opposition.

His comments afterward carried unusual emotion. "Both wins are special," he said, "but this one has a little extra to it because we faced Falcons, a team I really respect." The respect was specific. Falcons were the roster of NiKo, m0NESY and kyousuke, the most talented five ever assembled, and Legacy had beaten them in a final. For a player who measures himself against the best, the victory was calibration: proof that his game worked against anyone. The MVP race, decided over dominant playoff maps, confirmed the individual level. Two MVP medals and two EVP awards in 2026 to that point, and the Top 20 ambition suddenly looked conservative.

The Atlanta fortnight immediately before Shanghai had shown the range: a semi-final run ended by GamerLegion, with Legacy beating NAVI and Astralis along the way. The NAVI series, a confident dispatch of the European elite, and the Astralis playoff-clincher, secured in the group stage, demonstrated the team's comfort against structured opposition. The EPL playoff berth in March, secured with a sweep of NAVI, and the RUSH B Summit title in April confirmed the consistency. Rebelatto's three-month rating through the spring sat at 1.18, the highest sustained output of his career and the highest among the Legacy trio. He was twenty-three, in his fifth professional season, playing the best Counter-Strike of his life.

5. Cologne and Paris: Stage 3, Then the Semi-Final That Announced Legacy

The IEM Cologne Major 2026 supplied Rebelatto's deepest Major run: Stage 3, reached through a dominant win over TYLOO and the elimination of M80, before G2 ended the campaign. The TYLOO series was emphatic, the kind of result that confirms belonging; the M80 decider tested nerve before Legacy closed it. Three consecutive Majors with progression, each deeper than the last, confirmed the institutional trajectory. But Paris, weeks later, surpassed everything. Legacy stunned NAVI 2-0 in the World Cup's early rounds, a "dominant" victory that announced the run, then eliminated Falcons 2-0 in the quarter-finals, the tournament's great ambush. Rebelatto's fragging through both series was exemplary: consistent multi-kill rounds, late-round conversions, the floor-and-ceiling combination that defines his best events. Against NAVI he punished every defensive gap; against Falcons he held his nerve through the chaotic middle maps that decided the series. The performances were all the more impressive for their context: elimination matches, against favorites, in front of a neutral crowd that had adopted the Brazilians.

The semi-final against Spirit ended the run, and the third-place decider against FURIA closed the finest fortnight in Legacy history. The FURIA victory, a confident dispatch of the higher-ranked Brazilian rival, confirmed the new hierarchy: Legacy were no longer the country's second team in waiting but its form roster. Third in Paris, with wins over NAVI and the Major champions, was worth more than most titles. Rebelatto's own assessment was characteristically team-first, crediting the system and the preparation. But the numbers told the personal story: another event over 1.15, another playoff run built on his rifles, another step toward the Top 20.

The BLAST Open Porto campaign that followed ended early, with defeats to Falcons and Vitality, but supplied Rebelatto's most spectacular single round of the season: an ace against FUT that powered Legacy past the Turkish-organization roster in the group stage. The round unfolded as a complete dismantling: the FUT execute met resistance at every angle, and Rebelatto's positioning and spray control closed all four kills without assistance. "latto's ace powers Legacy past FUT," ran the headline, and the round entered the season's highlight collections. Early exits produce footnotes; aces endure.

6. Suzhou coronation: FISSURE Playground 3 MVP

The FISSURE Playground 3 tournament in September 2026 was the coronation of Rebelatto's career. Legacy traveled to Suzhou and won the event, sweeping G2 3-0 in the grand final for their third Chinese title. Rebelatto was named MVP, his third medal, all won in China, all won with Legacy. The statistics of the final were overwhelming: top of the scoreboard on all three maps, a 1.67 rating across the series with 102.9 ADR and 80.6 percent KAST, and a Dust2 decider that ranks among the great final maps of the year, a 2.25 rating with 131.6 ADR and a +11.50 percent round swing in the 13-4 victory. He edged teammate n1ssim in what HLTV termed "a close MVP race," pulling away in the final to claim the medal outright.

The series narrative showed his complete range. On Ancient, his double in the 3-versus-3 twentieth round held Legacy ahead 11-9 before they closed the map, a conversion under maximum pressure. The opening half had seen G2 threaten repeatedly, with NertZ producing the series' highest ADR for the losing side, but Rebelatto's mid-round kills steadied every wobble. On Mirage, he led the scoreboard throughout as try's opening USP quad-kill and huNter-'s seventeenth-round ace for G2 provided the drama around his consistency. G2's late push from 11-8 to 13-10 made the map competitive; his closing rounds made it safe. On Dust2, he produced his best map of the series, the 2.25 demolition. Three maps, three different kinds of dominance: clutch conversion, scoreboard leadership, outright destruction.

His post-tournament interview, headlined "It's China magic, I think," was the most revealing of his career. The setting mattered: minutes after the sweep, with the MVP medal confirmed, speaking to HLTV with the candor of a player who had nothing left to prove that evening. Asked to rate the final against his previous best, the CAC 2026 semi-final against The MongolZ, he placed it first: "I think it's number one because it's a grand final. So yeah, I think it's my best performance." The criterion, that finals outrank everything, is the mentality of a player built for trophies. Asked about the China phenomenon, he credited the crowd: "I don't know. I think the crowd cheering for us is so exciting. Having everybody cheering for us is very good. It's China magic, I think." Asked about mentality, he credited the staff: "BobZ, adrrr, and arT helped me a lot. We had a very tough game against MIBR, and if we hadn't worked on those things, maybe we would have lost and gone home." Asked about Wolkmer, he described the partnership: "Me and dumau, we just like playing together. He knows everything about me, and I know everything about him. We're building a very good history together." Asked about try, he described the reunion: "We were kids. Now try is a different guy." Every answer was team-first, specific, and honest. The MVP spoke like a role player. That is why his teams win.

"Me and dumau, we just like playing together. He knows everything about me, and I know everything about him. We're building a very good history together."

"BobZ, adrrr, and arT helped me a lot. We had a very tough game against MIBR, and if we hadn't worked on those things, maybe we would have lost and gone home."

7. Mechanical Profile: Firepower, Utility and the Complete Rifler

Rebelatto's attributes describe the most complete rifler of the Brazilian school in this set. Firepower 86 is his highest score: he wins duels at an elite rate, against any opposition, in any round state. The FPG3 final, with its three maps of scoreboard leadership, is the attribute made visible. Utility 76 is outstanding for a star rifler, reflecting a player who throws executes and plays the team's grenade timings rather than delegating them to support players. Opening 53 and Trading 53 are balanced, the numbers of a player comfortable in both first contact and pack play. Opening 53 and Trading 53 are balanced, the numbers of a player comfortable in both first contact and pack play. Clutching 50 is strong, Entrying 29 the honest limitation: he is not the designated first-through-the-door. Sniping at zero confirms the pure rifle.

The 1.54 FACEIT KDR across 1,499 matches at 68 percent wins is the efficiency monument: fewer matches than his teammates, more winning, more killing. His senior-team output, 1.18 across recent samples, is star-level production sustained over months. The comparison with the game's elite is now legitimate. His finals performances, 1.67 across the FPG3 series, 1.25-plus maps in Shanghai, belong in the same conversations as the MVP winners of bigger events. The remaining gap is opportunity: Legacy's calendar offers fewer Big Event finals than the superteams'. His conversion rate in the finals he reaches, three MVPs from three Chinese titles, suggests the gap is circumstantial.

The mental work deserves emphasis as a competitive factor. His explicit credit to BobZ, adrrr and arT for the MIBR survival, "if we hadn't worked on those things, maybe we would have lost," identifies sports psychology as a genuine input to his results. The MIBR semi-final, survived in overtime on the Inferno decider after a series that tested every player's composure, was the week's truest test of that work. Players who discuss mentality specifically, rather than in clichés, are players for whom it is a trained skill. The Suzhou trophy is its evidence.

8. Record, Standing and Horizon

The aggregate record at the time of writing is that of a twenty-three-year-old at the peak of his powers. Prize money of $258,119. Three LAN titles, all in China: CS Asia Championships 2025, CS Asia Championships 2026, FISSURE Playground 3. Three MVP medals, one per title, a perfect conversion rate. One runner-up finish, PGL Masters Bucharest 2025. One third place each at the Esports World Cup 2026 and IEM Atlanta 2026. Six Major appearances spanning Stockholm 2021 to Cologne 2026, with Stage 3 peaks. A Top 30 finish in 2025, with a stated Top 20 ambition for 2026 that the Suzhou performances have made a near-certainty.

The comparative framing is conversion-based. Three titles, three MVPs: no player in the modern game converts finals appearances into medals at a higher rate. His playoff record in China, dominant maps in every decider he has contested there, suggests a player whose ceiling rises with the occasion. The China specialization, three trophies and three medals on Chinese soil, is the quirk that makes him unique. Whether it reflects conditions, comfort, crowd or coincidence matters less than its persistence across two years and three events.

What comes next is the Top 20 and the playoffs. A Top 20 placement would formalize what the numbers already state, and the timing favors him: voters reward trophies and MVPs, and his 2026 supplies both. A Major playoff, the one achievement missing from the Legacy project, would complete the transformation from Chinese specialists to global contenders. The September audit of his season, three titles, three MVPs, EWC third place, suggests a player whose big-match record now matches anyone's. His own standard, set in Suzhou, is performance-based: number one because it's a grand final. More grand finals, more number-one performances. At twenty-three, with his oldest friends beside him and his best Counter-Strike ahead, the magic has time to travel.
