The venomzera file

venomzera — Carlos Eduardo

A documentary biography of the Brazilian entry fragger who climbed from academy rosters through paquetá and RED Canids to MIBR's starting five, built from HLTV profile data, HLTV news records and verified tournament reports.

1. Origins in the Brazilian Development Circuit

Carlos Eduardo plays under the name venomzera. He was 22 at the time of the profile record, Brazilian, and listed as a member of MIBR, with career prize money of $78,634 and a three-month Rating 3.0 of 1.08 across his recent sample. The team history runs to seven organisations: Bears Concept from January to September 2021, Bears from September to November 2021, Young Gods from December 2021 to July 2022, paquetá from August 2022 to August 2023, Selva from August to October 2023, RED Canids from October 2023 to January 2026, and MIBR from January 2026 onward. Five years, seven teams, and a slow, legible ascent from developmental rosters to the most storied organisation in Brazilian Counter-Strike.

The early years need no embellishment because they follow the standard grammar of the Brazilian pathway. Bears Concept and Bears were academy-style projects, the kind that give teenagers their first experience of scheduled practice and qualifier calendars. Young Gods continued that education through the first half of 2022. None of these spells produced results that survived in the international record, but they produced the player who could survive paquetá, which was the first genuine test. A full year with one organisation, from August 2022 to August 2023, in the competitive Brazilian tier two, is where development either happens or stalls. For Eduardo, it happened. The paquetá year matters disproportionately in this career because it is the only pre-RED Canids spell long enough to have built anything. The academy rosters taught him how to practice; paquetá taught him how to compete, week after week, against opponents fighting for the same handful of salaried chairs. Entry fraggers without that year tend to arrive in structured teams with good mechanics and no sense of when to go; Eduardo arrived at RED Canids with the timing already installed, which is why the role never moved off him again. His brief Selva stop in August to October 2023 reads as a bridge between that education and the RED Canids opportunity, two months of staying match-fit while the better offer materialised.

The role was already set by then. The attribute page that would later describe him at MIBR level shows Entrying at 89, by far his highest score, against Opening at 35. That gap is the statistical portrait of a designated first man: a player sent through the doorway first, who dies early in rounds more often than his teammates, and whose value is measured in space created rather than duels won. It is the least forgiving role in the sport, the one with the worst statistics and the highest turnover, and Eduardo has played it at every stop of his career. The economics of the position explain why. An entry fragger's rating will almost always sit below his teammates', because the role manufactures deaths by design, which means every contract renewal is an argument the numbers do not make for him. Coaches keep players in the role only when the eye test confirms what the scoreboard obscures: the executes work, the trades land, the sites break open. Seven organisations in five years have now made that judgment about Eduardo, including two, RED Canids and MIBR, that kept him for extended multi-year spells. In a position where most players are converted out of it or released within a year, that retention record is the strongest number on his page, stronger than any single attribute score.

2. RED Canids: Two Years of Structure and a Major Stage

In October 2023 Eduardo joined RED Canids, and the spell lasted until January 2026, more than two years, the longest continuous tenure of his career and the chapter that made him a known quantity. RED Canids in this period were a stable mid-tier Brazilian organisation: salaried, regularly qualified for South American closed qualifiers, and present at the edges of international competition without breaking into its centre. For an entry fragger, that environment is ideal. The role demands repetition with the same teammates, since timing the first step through smoke with the second man's trade requires months of shared practice, and RED Canids gave him twenty-seven months of it.

The achievement that survives from the spell is a Stage 1 appearance with RED Canids at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025. It ended in the opening stage, but qualification for a Valve Major is the line that separates the hundreds of Brazilian professionals who never reach one from the dozens who do. The path there ran through the South American qualifier circuit, the same weekly grind he had learned at paquetá, now played with better teammates and a coach. Eduardo crossed it at 21, in his fourth year as a contracted player, which places his development on the patient end of the spectrum. It is worth comparing that timeline with the other MIBR arrivals: nqz played a home Major at 17, tomaszin reached tier one at 22 without any Major at all, and Eduardo sits between them, the steady middle of the roster's experience curve. Nothing about the career to that point had been fast. Everything about it had been cumulative.

The RED Canids exit belongs to the wider churn of the Brazilian scene at the end of 2025. The Budapest Major reshuffled rosters across the region: paiN lost nqz's core to the transfer market, Legacy cycled players, and MIBR rebuilt twice in eight months. Eduardo's move to MIBR in January 2026 was part of that reshuffle, and the timing, announced on 13 January alongside the Swede LNZ, suggests the club had identified its targets before the Major ended. The phrasing of the announcement, a double signing with an experienced European anchor, framed the two arrivals as complementary: LNZ the steadiness, venomzera the sharp end.

3. The January Rebuild: LETN1, a Local Trophy and RUSH B

The MIBR that Eduardo joined was itself brand new. Nestor "LETN1" Tanić took over as coach on 21 January 2026, eight days after the signings. On 26 January the new team won its first local trophy, and on 19 January, days earlier in the sequence, Sharks beat MIBR to win the BetBoom RUSH B Summit Season 1, which places the local trophy in its proper context: a young roster winning at home while still losing the finals that mattered. The January rebuild also retained Felipe "insani" Yuji and Breno "brnz4n" Poletto and worked around the loaned AWPer kl1m, whose temporary status made the AWP position the roster's known instability from the start.

For an entry fragger, joining a new roster is the hardest version of the transfer. The entry's timing depends on the IGL's defaults, the support player's flashes and the AWPer's positioning, all of which were being installed from zero under a new coach. Eduardo's first months therefore need reading as installation work rather than performance data. The team finished top four at the CS Asia Championships in the spring, which indicates the installation succeeded faster than the January final loss suggested, and the entry pack's functioning was a necessary condition of that result even where the scoreboard credited others. A top-four finish at an international event within four months of a full rebuild is the kind of outcome that validates every selection decision at once, and Eduardo's presence in the starting five through that run, followed by his retention through both summer changes while brnz4n and kl1m departed, shows where the club's evaluation settled. The two players changed in August were the ones whose roles the team felt it could upgrade; the entry fragger was not among them.

The spring also included the visa and loan mechanics that would define the year. kl1m's loan from G2 gave MIBR a borrowed AWPer with an expiry date, and the roster played its best Counter-Strike knowing one of its five chairs was temporary. That context flatters Eduardo's adaptation: he learned a new team's protocols while one of the protocol's central pieces was explicitly provisional.

4. Cologne: Stage 2 and Elimination by B8

The IEM Cologne Major in June 2026 was Eduardo's second Major and his first with MIBR, and it ended in Stage 2 with elimination at the hands of B8. The series, a 1-2 defeat on 8 June, is documented in unusual detail. MIBR opened with a 13-3 drubbing on Mirage, spearheaded by the support cast of Eduardo and brnz4n, the entry doing exactly the job the role describes: creating the conditions for a blowout. B8 answered on Nuke, 13-10, with Andrii "npl" Kukharskyi's quad-kill in a 2v4 swinging the map, and closed on Ancient to complete the comeback from the 0-2 stage start that defined their tournament.

Eduardo finished the series at a 1.06 rating, with 37 kills to 46 deaths. The negative differential is the normal cost of the entry role in a losing series, and the 1.06 rating alongside it indicates the deaths bought space rather than being wasted. insani topped the server at 1.41 and MIBR still lost, which locates the defeat where the August transfer activity later confirmed it: the roster's middle rounds and conversion, not its sharp end, were the problem. brnz4n posted 1.01, LNZ 0.87, kl1m 0.81, and the Russian's collapse from a strong Stage 1 start to a 0.91 stage average made the loan's end a formality.

The Cologne elimination also carried a specific symmetry that would matter later. B8, the team that ended MIBR's Major, did so with the same comeback structure, Mirage loss followed by two wins, that MIBR would later need against others. And s1zzi, the 16-year-old B8 AWPer who posted 1.34 with aggressive AWPing on Nuke in that series, offered a preview of the generation arriving behind Eduardo's. The Major ended for MIBR in Stage 2, a respectable outcome for a January roster with a loaned AWPer, and the club spent the next two months fixing the two positions the series had indicted.

5. Summer Transition: nqz Arrives, K27 Departs

The summer rebuild addressed the AWPer first. On 17 June media reports linked MIBR with nqz and try as alternatives to kl1m; on 25 June the nqz move was reported as set; on 26 June the club confirmed the signing and ended kl1m's loan. G2 were reported open to offers for the Russian, whose MIBR chapter closed with the 0.91 stage average as its final entry. For Eduardo, the change replaced a borrowed AWPer with a permanent Brazilian one, a two-time Legends finisher with an Austin semi-final and EVP on his record. The entry-AWP relationship, the timing of the first step against the angle the AWPer holds, had to be rebuilt for the second time in six months, but this time around a stable piece.

On 15 August, MIBR stamped K27 out of the Esports World Cup, a qualifier result that kept the autumn campaign alive and gave the nqz version of the roster its first verifiable win. The EWC run does not appear among Eduardo's achievements, but the qualifier belongs to the same stretch as the FISSURE preparation and shows a roster finding form at the right point of the season.

The second change followed a week later in the news cycle: brnz4n benched on 25 August, tomaszin confirmed on 29 August. Eduardo thus played the September LANs with a new AWPer behind him and a new entry partner beside him, the two most timing-sensitive relationships on the roster both reset within ten weeks. That the results held up is the strongest available evidence for his adaptability, since entry fraggers are usually the players most damaged by surrounding changes.

6. FISSURE Playground 3: Third to Fourth

At FISSURE Playground 3 in September, MIBR finished third to fourth, and Eduardo's first LAN with the reconstructed roster followed the full arc. A 2-1 win over The MongolZ in the opener on 8 September, a 2-0 win over 9z on 9 September that secured the playoff spot, a 0-2 loss to BETBOOM on 10 September, a 2-0 quarter-final win over Alliance on 11 September, and a 1-2 semi-final defeat to Legacy on 12 September in an overtime Inferno decider. Five series in five days, three wins, playoffs secured, semi-final reached, domestic rival the barrier.

The BETBOOM loss is the tactical marker. The Russian side finished third to fourth after its own semi-final defeat to G2, and the 2-0 scoreline against MIBR showed the gap between playoff regulars and genuine contenders at this tier. The Legacy semi-final is the emotional marker: an all-Brazilian decider that went to overtime on Inferno before MIBR fell, the kind of series where entry fragging in the late rounds decides maps and where Eduardo's role carried maximum weight. The team reached the deciding map, which is the entry pack's job done; it lost the decider, which is the roster's problem shared.

The September record also includes the 0-2 loss to K27 in the IEM Beijing closed qualifier, a volatility data point that the LAN run corrected. And at StarLadder StarSeries Fall later in the month, MIBR finished fourth with two defeats to FURIA, confirming the hierarchy: competitive with everyone at the tier, beaten by the teams above it. The StarSeries sequence added a further texture to Eduardo's season. The 18 September elimination of magic, the 19 September win over NRG and the two FURIA defeats bracketing them required the entry pack to function across four series in three days, with different map pools and different defensive styles on the other side. That density of fixtures is where entry timing either holds or frays, and MIBR's fourth-place finish indicates it held. The defeats were not entry failures; FURIA beat MIBR twice by being the better team in the middle and late rounds, which is consistent with everything the roster's transfer activity has said about where its problems lie.

7. Tactical Profile: the Designated First Man

The attribute scores describe one of the purest entry profiles in the assignment. Entrying at 89 is the standout, eighteen points clear of his next-best rifle score. Clutching at 69 is the secondary strength, Trading at 53 moderate, Firepower at 45 modest, Utility at 36 low, Opening at 35 low, Sniping at 0. The pairing of elite Entrying with low Opening is the key: Eduardo goes first through the execute, not first in the round's opening seconds. He is the player who absorbs the site's defence so the trade can land, rather than the duelist who seeks the opening pick on his own terms.

The low Utility score fits the same picture. Entry fraggers run on timing rather than grenades; the flash comes from the support player, and the entry's job is to be in the right place when it pops. The moderate Trading score is the honest cost of the role: when you die first, you are rarely alive to trade. The 69 Clutching is the more interesting number, suggesting that when the execute breaks down and Eduardo survives the initial contact, he converts the resulting chaos at a solid rate. The Cologne series supports that reading: a 1.06 rating with a negative differential in a losing effort is what useful entry fragging looks like in defeat.

Within MIBR's structure the role is load-bearing. insani's star output and nqz's late-round AWPing both depend on the early-round conditions the entry creates, and LNZ's fighting-spirit comment about tomaszin, the other entry-adjacent piece, shows the team thinks explicitly about mentality in these roles. Eduardo has played the role for five years across seven organisations without being moved off it, which in a position with the sport's highest turnover is itself the résumé.

8. Standing, Earnings and the Road Ahead

The aggregate record: $78,634 in career prize money, two Major appearances (Budapest Stage 1 with RED Canids, Cologne Stage 2 with MIBR), one LAN semi-final and one fourth place with MIBR, no EVPs, no Top 20 placements. He is 22, eight months into his MIBR tenure, holding a 1.08 recent rating, with the entry role locked down and two reconstructed partnerships, AWPer and entry partner, already absorbed into a functioning playoff side.

The framing is establishment. The RED Canids years proved he belonged in professional Counter-Strike; the MIBR months are proving he belongs in its upper tier. What the record does not yet contain is the signature that entry fraggers need to convert belonging into reputation: a deep playoff run where the opening kills are visibly his, a decider swung by first contact, a series against FURIA or Legacy where the space he creates becomes the story. The September semi-final against Legacy was the closest approach, an overtime Inferno decider with exactly that stage available, and the loss leaves the statement unmade.

The calendar provides the next settings: the Singapore Major invite race and the qualifiers where MIBR's volatility has shown. Entry fraggers age on their timing rather than their aim, and at 22 Eduardo's timing has survived five years of continuous professional proof across every level of the Brazilian circuit. If the reconstructed roster's ceiling rises from semi-finals to finals, the first man through the door will have been part of the reason, whether or not the scoreboard ever says so.
